These are the first seven words of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. The depth and meaning of these few words are not often considered in regard to their relevance to life, being so inexorably linked, as they are, to that great document. These are simply my thoughts about those human events.

101 On The Porch
I feel like Texas has been on one of those long moving belts you put pizzas on while they travel through the bazillionty degree oven only our belt never ends. I remember living up north as a teen and being sick of winter about March (really January but you could take it). This is worse. 7 day still shows mid 90's all the way through. We've literally become toast. This is the worst I've seen in the 36 years I've spent in this state. Maybe it baked my brain. Perhaps Michael Moore and Jimmy Hoffa aren't as bad as I made out in my last post...

We are going to catch a break -- tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteToday it is expected to reach 98, maybe 99 tying the record.
I am Officially and Completely DONE with summer. You can ship it back where it came from.
The highs during the day were bad but the problem I had was it never cooled off at night.
I think it went 50 something days before it dropped below 85 at night.
Good grief my poor A/C never shut off.
Maybe with the cool weather I can actually go shooting again. I think I belong to a gun club.
Amen to that! We 'almost' had rain the other day but the line of storms just could not overcome the city heat bubble and went right around SA.
ReplyDeleteEvery now and then I think that anthropomorphizing natural events may have a basis.
ReplyDeleteMother Nature....the Witch (yeah I mean something else) decides to put an exclamation point on the end of summer -- 100 degrees today.
Thanks You MOTHER. :)
