Gathering Intel
As you might have noticed a post or two back, the lovely Mrs. Groundhog won a blow out contest sponsored by agrilandhergun for a starter self defense/handgun course. The first of the "loot" has arrived. Ah, I love the smell of fresh ammo in the morning! But I digress. If anyone has any good intel about THE class to take in the San Antonio, Texas area, do feel free to let us know. Short of some knowledgeable word of mouth, all we're going on is local advertizing and opinions of those who might bother to post them. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I'm not very familiar with the geography of TX, but I have some training-guys I've bookmarked over the years.
ReplyDeleteJohn Farnum at Defense Training International, Inc. holds classes in Victoria, TX, some 2-hrs away.
Kyle Defoor of Grey Group has classes at College Station, some three hours away...
Travis Haley along with ITS Tactical is teaching at Liberty Hill, TX - about two hours drive by Google.
Pat Rogers and E.A.G Tactical train down in Hidalgo TX, but that looks pretty far (4+ hrs).
Jim Smith of Spartan Tactical holds classes in Keller, TX (another long drive).
Tactical Response holds classes in Bastrop, TX (not too far?) - the CEO is James Yeager (all I know)...
Maybe the best thing is to go to your favorite gun-shop and talk to the guys to see what's around closer to home. Anyhow good Luck and have fun! And take a class too!
I will post this on my blog also. See if we can't get you a nice list to chose from. On the post "She's A Real Animal" JD, put a suggestion. I would take an reccomandation from him seriously.
