First day of the new year.
I do wish you all a happy and prosperous new year. I know that's kind of obligatory and the usual seasons greetings. I figure 2013 may also be a rough year but I don't know that for sure. Never the less, I do absolutely WISH and PRAY that you all have a safe, happy, blessed and prosperous 2013!
Today I weighed 287.4 (I'll round to the pound to make the math easy).
At surgery I was 337.
I started the diet program at about 363.
So I'm down 50 pounds since surgery and 76 since the beginning. I'd have to say that's not too bad!
Only 37 pounds to go until I hit my first major milestone of 250. I came to within 5 pounds of that when I just dieted in 2007. I've been covering the same ground twice. I don't want to do it ever again. You don't really know what you got the first go around but you damn sure do the second. At 250 my beard comes off. I will be completely clean shaven on my face for the first time since boot camp. I'll probably have to do it in stages though. That's several months away yet I imagine.
FOB Groundhog has not bugged out yet. No closing has happened thanks to the intrepid speed and efficiency of "the investor" underwriting our loan. Maybe, just maybe it will happen tomorrow. I'll be ecstatic to leave the FOB and so will the rest of the fire team. We all had the crud for the last week or so and are still recovering from that. I don't think it was flu as there was no fever involved. Probably a good old fashioned winter cold of some kind.
I'm finding that getting some services at the new HQ is a bit more challenging if you don't live in the city. Looks like the only internet options are going to be either satellite or wireless (read radio) via the local power coop. I've seen satellite before so I doubt we'll go that route. Only one wired service in there and that's power. We burn garbage and get water from a well. The sewer is septic. The garbage disposals roam the property on 2 or 4 legs. Life is going to get a lot more interesting very soon. I eventually want to get a horse or two. I've always wanted one and now's the chance. Not right away though as the rest of the "learn farming" comes first and at light speed. Bah, if I can figure out TCP/IP I should be able to figure out how to worm sheep...
Congrats on the weight loss; that's double tough, I know.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing about the new HQ, once you're settled in, too.
Happy New Year, to your & yours.
You think "you're" looking forward to it! I'm chomping at the proverbial bit!
DeleteCongrats on the continued weight loss. I can't wait to hear about the new HQ. The hubby and I would love to be able to do something similar, but that will be a few years yet.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Damn fine job.
